Why BKS?
Why BKS?
For many years, BKS has stood for outstanding quality, innovative technology, and uncompromising security. As your locksmith in Vienna, we are proud to offer you the first-class products from BKS.
Flexibility and combinability
Many of these systems are modular and can be combined with each other. For example, mechanical locking cylinders can be combined with electronic access control systems in a single system. This offers a flexible and future-proof solution for a wide range of requirements.
Low wear and tear
BKS keys are often made of high-quality nickel silver, making them extremely robust and wear-resistant. The proven locking mechanisms and precise workmanship also contribute to the long service life of the keys and the entire locking systems.
Reversible key systems
This means the key will always fit, regardless of its position in the cylinder. This significantly increases everyday convenience, especially with dark or heavy doors. The extended key shaft also allows for use with security fittings and cylinder covers.
Flexibility and combinability
BKS keys, especially reversible key systems like Janus, Livius, or Helius, are characterized by complex key profiles, often with recesses or concealed shank cutouts. This makes them very difficult to illegally copy, even with modern 3D printers.
Your locksmith service

It's incredibly easy to have your BKS key copied by us.
The most important step in copying your BKS key is presenting your security card. You received this card when you purchased your BKS lock cylinder. It serves as proof of ownership and authorization, allowing us to make key copies. For security reasons, copying is not possible without this card.

What do I do if I lose my security card?
If you have lost your security card, getting a key copied becomes more complicated. In this case, you will need to contact a locksmith in Vienna or the BKS dealer from whom you purchased the locking system. An ownership verification or cylinder replacement may be necessary. Therefore, always keep your security card in a safe place.
