Why BASI?
BASI is a German security technology company founded in Mönchengladbach in 1981. The company specializes in the development and production of locking systems and offers a wide range of products.
Emergency and hazard function
BASI keys, especially the patented systems (such as K6-RT, T250 or KS-2), offer active copy protection through special control elements in the key profile or in the cylinder (e.g. cross slide, freely mounted locking ball).

BASI locking systems are made from high-quality materials such as nickel silver (for key blanks) and brass (for cylinder bodies and cores). Hard bronze and special brass pins ensure durability and reliable function.
High-quality material
BASI offers a wide range of locking cylinders (half, double, knob, exterior and lever cylinders) and locking systems suitable for various applications (front doors, room doors, garages, mailboxes, etc.).
High copy protection
Many BASI double cylinders can be optionally equipped with an emergency and danger function (E+G). This means the door can be opened from the outside even if a key is already inserted on the inside.

First, we need your original key. This is clamped into a high-precision milling machine. The machine scans the key's unique profile and precise cuts with millimeter precision.
This precise shape is then transferred to a new key blank. The machine mills the necessary incisions in reverse to ensure a perfect copy of your original.

What to do with protected BASI profiles?
If your key has a protected BASI key profile, we, as your locksmith in Vienna, take a special approach. We examine your specific requirements and, if necessary, arrange for the blank or key to be ordered directly from the manufacturer. This usually requires your security card, which authenticates ownership. We handle the entire ordering process so you receive your new key as quickly as possible.
